R.C.I.A.: Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a journey, not only into the Catholic Church, but even more importantly, a journey into a deeper relationship with God. We welcome people who are unbaptized, those looking into the possibility of becoming Catholic from other faith traditions, those Catholics wishing to complete the Sacraments of Initiation, and those looking for a faith update.

Interested in entering the faith? “Come and see” at RCIA!

RCIA

RCIA sessions typically run from September through the end of May each year. Sacraments are completed at the Saturday Easter Vigil.

RCIA REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. Please email Mary Beth at mbbragiel@gmail.com with questions.

ADULT BIBLE STUDY

SEAS Adult Bible Study began in the fall of 2006 with the support of then Pastor Father Tom Lilly. After a year of preparation and study, with the Stephen Ministries as our guide, we launched. Current facilitators Diana Weber and Tessa Wilson dedicate many hours a week to run this important ministry.

In the past 17 years, we have delivered Scripture study and other Catholic faith enrichment studies and offer multiple class options throughout the, from fall through winter. We have studied all four Gospels, Genesis, Exodus, Judges, the Book of Ruth, Acts, Ephesians, Hebrews, the Revelation to St. John and more—our parish community has deepened its knowledge of Holy Scripture and grown in fellowship.

Our Fall Study session usually runs September through November, and the Winter Study is typically January through March. In-person and Zoom options both available. Come and join us on our journey!

Winter Study 2024 - The Bible and the Church Fathers

In the centuries following Christ, the Church Fathers were the heroes who “fathered” the Church into existence. They passed on the teachings of the apostles, defended the infant Church from heresy, and taught us how to read Scripture. Their writings and lives continue to inspire conversion today.

A 12-week prorgram with video lectures, workbook, and small group discussion/faith-sharing.

When: January 8/9/10 to March 25/26/27

Classes:

Monday, 7-8:30p (in person at SEAS)

Monday, 7-8:30p (Zoom)

Tuesday, 10-11:30a (Zoom)

Wednesday, 6-7:30a (Zoom)

Materials: Registered participants will receive instructions for ordering materials (scholarships available).

For more information: Diana Weber (907) 529-1512 or Tessa Wilson (907) 529-5324.
